My GPS doesn't seem to be working either. I think it's drivers, or maybe settings of the unit itself. Maybe it needs to be set up properly to work with GPS satellites in North America? I found this interesting link, which mentions that besides enabling GPS you also have to go to Locations and Other Sensors in control panel and enable it there.
Which I did, but MS Streets & Trips 2011, even though recognizing GPS on Port 3, doesn't receive any data from it I also tried GPS Utility and no data is collected from GPS either. Anyways here is helpful link to maybe get us step closer. If anyone get's this to work please inform others. You can find advanced GPS settings under device manager > Ports (COM & LPT) and fiddle with it. Also don;t forget the Locations and Other Sensors. Happy windpadding.

I will install it this friday/sunday as Im travelling today. GPS info got to lock the satellites using the internal GPS, but I installed the 3G driver and now in the O-easy, instead of a GPS icon y have a 3G icon, I think I shouldn't have installed that lol. I will try to remove the driver and try again. COM3 is the default. If it doesn't work I will report results after a full format using the new SSD.

Works very well for a developer preview. I can't wait until Windows 8 is released. EDIT: And if that reviewer thought it was pretty fast, he should see how it runs with a SSD upgrade!
I have my dock on the way and then I'll have it setup on my work desk as a secondary computer. EDIT 2: Man, pox67, that would be cool if you could use the Transformer keyboard dock. Unfortunately from pictures the connector looks similar but is centered on the Transformer and off center on the Windpad.

Maybe that is the problem. How did you make the bootable USB? I am using the Microsoft program: Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool SOLVED: I was using a Micro SD flash card in a card reader as the USB Boot drive. Windows 8 doesn't carry these drivers by default so it lost the install files and asked for the CD drivers. Now I just need to find a proper USB drive that is big enough.
