Michael Buble Piano Sheet Music
Revised from previous version. The second piece penned for the M&J Big Band of Pottsville, Pa, 'Sway.' Featuring an irresistible Latin dance groove, hot brass, and melodic winds, 'Sway' begs the audience to dance. Inspired by and very similar to the recording by Michael Buble, this arrangement allows the vocalist-deprived group an excellent alternative.
The arrangement offers the ambitious Alto Sax soloist the chance to shine on a classic performed by Buble, as well as Dean Martin and many others. The Piano, Guitar, Bass, and Drum parts are open to embellishment. The screaming Trumpet parts may be dropped the octave if needed.
For Full Big Band Features Alto Sax Key of D Minor Excellent Dance Number. A big reason I made this piece was to simply say I did it. Is it doable? Left for dead 2 on pc. Should it be performed? Well, you might think that, but I couldn't possibly comment. At one time, I had the personel in my jazz band to pull this off but it never got out of rehearsal. We were very close, though.
Range aside, the hardest part in this score is the piano. However, I messed with that multiple times and you can't get that Latin feel without that piano stuff. Look up the Michael Buble recording and you'll see why I wanted to do this. It's just such an incredible groove and the feel is awesome.
Another reason I wrote this piece came from members of the Jazz band I was in complaining about doing the same, elementary level jazz charts so I left in the hard stuff on purpose. We came really close to playing it but people had to tend to other parts of their lives, including myself. I always regret never getting the chance to play this bass part. It's here to see what could have been.
