The radio is now ready for use! Posted on May 10, 2010. Most of the time the radio code is written down on the inside front or rear cover of the owners manual. If that is not the case then hopefully you will be able to get the code from a Volkswagen dealership with only the VIN number to the vehicle, otherwise you will need to remove the radio to get the serial number from that radio in order to obtain the correct code from a Volkswagen dealership.
You will need to contact a Volkswagen dealership to find out which is applicable to your vehicle, and that is also the same way that any repair shop would obtain that radio code. Posted on May 10, 2010.
Radio Reset In your VW manual you should have received a booklet that pertains to the radio. Written on the inside front cover of that booklet is a 4 digit number. If you do not have this booklet you will need to call VW to get the code (I don't know if there is a cost associated with this or not.) When you turn your radio on (usually after interupting power to the vehicle) you will get a 'safe' message on the radio face plate. After 3 seconds you will get 4 numbers. Enter the assigned 4 digit number by using the preset radio buttons 1-4. Once you get the number in, push the '>' portion of the 'scan' button until you get an audible 'beep.'
Your radio should be back in business. Please, send a diagram & how replace a thermostat? Make sure that your ENGINE ITS COLD and RADIATOR Fluid then can be taken out to do this. Look at your radiator and the hose that is about 2 1/2' thick going to the engine at the end has like a round part(housing) with 2 screws, take out screws and thermostat is there,(sometimes you have to remove hose from housing (round part at end),if you break tabs you can use a hose ring that has a screw on it easy no problema.jajaja,ok then look at position of old thermostat and seal, take out and clean area and put new one in.
DONT FORGET TO CLOSE YOUR DRAIN PLUG AND PUT RADIATOR FLUID. You must have the code which is either in the manual or can be obtained from the dealer with your VIN number, I believe. Other people have said it's also by the tire jack but I haven't looked there. I don't have an owner's manual so the dealer had to look it up on the computer for me. I've had thi s happen twice when the battery died.
It goes into the SAFE 2 mode if you try entering it and don't do it right and then you have to leave the radio on for 1 1/2 hours to have it come on to 1000 and then set it with each number one at a time and then hold down right reset until he beeps on. So, if you are discouraged as I was, the answer is to leave it on with the SAFE showing for over an hour and it probably will come on with the 1000 for setting eventually.
If you're like me, without a manual, this hasn't been easy. The dealer was helpful even though I got the car after the warranty had expired.
On my 98 Beetle I found the code in the spare tire compartment it is a 4 digit number mine was 0039 but they are all different. It is in a white sticker on the inside of the spare tire storage. Once you find your code then follow the instructions posted on this site. It worked great for me and I saved $85.00 dealer fee.
This also worked on my wifes 2000 Beetle. The sticker had the vin number on it and below the vin was the four digit code. I also have my radio on safe i think i found the code once i enter it what do i do how do i press enter. Answer: I guess you don't have a manual. Pes 2013 rar download free. According to the MANUAL (:-)) for the 2001 Beetle, most fuses are in a compartment at the left side of the dashboard.
Place a screwdriver into the slot to pop the lid off. The Fuse Card identifies fuses with silly Symbols, and there is no Legend (on th e card or in the Manual) indicating what they mean. NThere are also 3 or 4 fuses in a compartment atop the Battery-box, and there is nno indication (symbolic or otherwise) of what they are for. When you open the driver's side door, it is located on the side of the dash. Just pry the cover off with a screw driver. There should also be a diagram in the cover.
